RESIDENCY PROGRAME

The Bamboo Curtain Studio (BCS) in Taiwan aims to promote cross-cultural exchanges by providing a meeting point for creative talents from national and international art related fields, for short stay or specific projects.

“Residency Program” consists of two categories: institutional recommendation and individual-apply. Institutional recommendation may receive allowances in accordance with reciprocal exchanges programs. Individual applicants will need to cover their travel and living cost, local insurance, studio and accommodation fee.

We especially welcome applicants working:

• cross discipline arts,
• ecology and environment,
• community engagement projects.

We accept applications all year round

Who can apply
If you are:
artist / curator / researcher / culture worker/ arts professional
open for all age, gender, media, and nationality

How to apply

Project plan within one page of A4
Outreach plan
Resume and portfolio (link or website)
Name and contact information of one reference person/organization from your country.
Note:
Please state “Residency Program” on your email subject.
Reminder that all supporting hardcopy materials will not be returned.

Procedure
We will notify the result to you within one month from your application date.

What you need to cover

• Accommodation and studio fee, project/material fee, travel and living costs
• The living cost in Taiwan is about 500 USD per month

Program requirement

• To participate in the residence program, applicants are required to
• Cooperate with our team for publicity and other activities relate to the promotion of your program
• Write a brief report (One to two pages of A4), 10 images and feedback to us after your residency
