The Green Map Workshop emphasizes personal visits to local community attractions and encourages participation in the drawing process. We hope that understanding our environment will lead to a greater concern for maintaining the environment among residents, as well as a willingness to make lifestyle changes and work towards a harmless relationship with earth. Foreign students from the AIESEC National Taiwan University branch were invited to participate to increase international awareness of the experience, culture and distinctiveness of Zhuwei. International students and workshop participants have the opportunity to learn about the Green Map System by means of various explorative field-study activities throughout the community, including attractions (such as the migratory bird infestation area), gathering community stories from residents at local shops, mapping necessary information, and working together to draw Zhuwei’s Green Map.
