The 14th VIDEONALE will be taking place in the Kunstmuseum Bonn from 15 February to 7 April 2013.
Founded in 1984, the biennial VIDEONALE today counts as one of the oldest and most renowned festivals of video art in the world. Participants include such trend-setting artists as Dara Birnbaum, Lynn Hershman, Marcel Odenbach, Michael Smith, Bill Viola and others. To this day VIDEONALE sees itself as a festival of national and international video art, both for ambitious young artists and for established artists.
Invitations are now open to all artists to apply for VIDEONALE 14 with a single or multi-channel video work. There are no restrictions on the subject, but the works submitted must be not more than 2 years old, i.e. they must date from 1 Jan 2010 or later.
A jury of international experts will examine the entries and those selected will be presented in the VIDEONALE in the Kunstmuseum Bonn. An international prize-jury will select the winner of the VIDEONALE award from the artists whose works are exhibited at VIDEONALE 14.
The closing date for submissions is 6 July 2012.
