COVID-19 has hugely disrupted our life in 2020, a lot of us were forced to stay home, wear a mask and keep social distancing with others. The pandemic has devastated the health system and economy of many industries, the creative industry was among one of the most affected ones.

For a long time, Bamboo Curtain Studio has endeavored to promote cross-cultural exchanges by lifting barriers, and provides a creative environment for artists. In 2020, we decided to produce a podcast show to connect with our Southeast Asian friends in the creative industry.

The new podcast “Art Connect” is a special edition of 12 episodes on COVID-19 and arts. We will bring you how the artists and cultural organizations in Taiwan and Southeast Asia region are responding to the pandemic with arts and actions. We will also be looking at what’s happening in the art communities around these countries? And what has changed due to the coronavirus?
