Pin Sasao
Pin Sasao is invited by Thai curator Kongsak and Bamboo Curtain Studio as one of the six Thai Artists presenting works in “2015 Green Art Action: In Zhuwei X Art No Wall” exhibition.
In his work ”Sewing land ”, The rice steamer is the symbol of the culture region. Thai and Lao are on the different side of Mekong river. They not only share histories, cultures and traditions but also have sticky rice as the main dish. During the colonisation, they were separated by Mekong river. The river became the border line, and the countries became capitalism. The exchange of the new steamers and the old ones are inspired by the traditional way of exchanging, which is not using the unit measurement or money rate as today but depending on the friendship of villager.

From the river mouth to alleyways, nature and everyday lives inspire and motivate the creation of art and the mobilization of communities. In the Green Art Action exhibition, three topics surrounding Tamsui, Plum Tree Creek, and Zhuwei are discussed- Chapter One: In Zhuwei shares with the public the experiences of community participants, Chapter Two: Art No Wall tells the stories of the river through projects conducted by artists from Thailand and Taiwan about living and the environment.
