Chang-Jin Lee

Chang-Jin Lee is a Korean-born conceptual artist and her work deals with our cultural and social/political identity by exploring issues such as security VS personal freedom in the post 9/11 world, genetic engineering, and the exploitative nature of globalization. She is currently conducting research on the “Comfort Women” issue throughout Asia, including Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. This project is supported by the Asian Cultural Council, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and the Bamboo Curtain Studio.
