Lêna Bùi

視覺、裝置藝術 | 越南

來自越南西貢，Lena是個年紀輕輕就有不少駐村和跨界經驗的藝術家，她曾在日本駐村，也曾和科學家就禽流感議題合作過影像紀錄。她的作品關注人和其他生物、物件的接觸方式，及文化和地區間的相異和相同性。Lena使用的媒材非常多元，繪畫、影像紀錄和裝置藝術都是表達想法的方式之一。

這次來台駐村，Lena特別關注的是人如何在重重限制之下，找到獨特而多元的發展空間，並對於許多台灣的新移民生活狀況很感興趣。

Lena Bui @ Bamboo Curtain Studio

“My residency at Bamboo Curtain Studio (BCS), Taiwan was a great experience. Taipei's art scene is vibrant and accessible, with lots of things to see and do.

BCS is near the MRT station and within biking distance to the old town of Tamsui. It is a mix of city and countryside. The studio is well-equipped with plenty of space for large-scale work, and specific mediums like ceramics. A long-term resident theatre group keeps the place lively with music and dance rehearsals late into the night. The shared kitchen and library, and the friendly staff make it very cozy and home-like, providing plenty of common space for artists, local students and volunteers to interact and bond. BCS is also good at connecting artists with other official art spaces.
