De Onkruidenier

De Onkruidenier explore forms of symbiosis and circularity between the realm of the cultural and the natural world. Through on site participatory fieldwork and research, their artistic practice develops new interpretations on the relationship between human and nature. Their work transforms familiar everyday actions of classifying, cultivating, preparing and consuming of plants into experiential narratives. Their practice focuses on the evolving qualities of halotolerant organisms; species that use salt to their benefit in a world wherein 97.5% of all water is salty.

游雅蘭 YU, YA-LAN

Yu Ya-Lan was born in 1987 in Yunlin, Taiwan. Yu obtained both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Taipei National University of the Arts in 2010 and 2014 respectively. The artist uses printmaking as a creative medium to depict inner feelings we experience everyday, but are unable to accurately express in words. Yu believes that memories and induced emotional feelings vary over time. The reason why she uses the woodcut technique is because once a cut is made, it cannot be unmade.

劉致宏 Chihhung Liu

Chihhung Liu, born in Hsinchu (Taiwan) in 1985. He graduated from M.F.A Program, Department of Fine Arts at Taipei National University of the Arts. He is a freelancer/artist who lives and works in Taipei currently. Recent paintings embody his understanding of life and his personal experiences. His approach to narration and interpretation from a mundane perspective allows him to tightly interlock emotions and
images.

李明潔 Ming-Chieh Lee

From Taipei, Taiwan Taipei National University of the Arts, Department of Dance Graduate program, major in Choreography , Artistic Director at PITA Production. Choreography for street dance company, musical dance and contemporary dance art. Creation is usually made to deconstruct the current life, exploring human beings’ body culture through interdisciplinary collaborations. Music plays an important role in choreography. There is no direct narrative storyline in dance pieces but truly expressing our real feeling existing in our body experiences.

TAIING Studio

About TAIING Studio This is a workshop formed by three drawing addicts with spatial design background. We hope to reach out and discuss the characteristics of Taiwan Cities through our creation. TAIING Studio is selected as one of the residency groups of Bamboo Curtain Studio "2018 Creative Talents Program".
