西田秀己 Hidemi Nishida
Hidemi Nishida1986年出生於北海道小樽市，現居東京。他於挪威卑爾根藝術與設計學院獲得藝術碩士學位。他的建築背景將實用性與自身對環境的親密轉變的興趣結合起來。Nishida關心環境議題，解構並適應產生的體系、素材或是完整的景象，使我們改變對世界的看法。他的建構出一個存在而短暫的體系，通常運用回收材料與現成物去創造一個對於空間、時間與記憶的自我創作。
他的興趣也包括對於特殊空間的記錄，包含其過去的重要性與在此累積的人們的記憶。他最近於退役的鐵路舊址上記錄了50平方公尺的鐵路線。這些鐵路線過去運輸煤礦，能使用一個A4大小瀏覽器進行瀏覽，產生了建立於不同角度上的資料記錄，運用不同的方式像是攝影、錄像與聲音裝置。
Nishida同時致力於社會活動，激發人們的想法，進而關注多彩的的世界。他通過聚會、討論會、演講的方式分享與交換多樣的想法，將自己的經驗與他人共享。自2017年春季起，他也投入東京藝術聯盟實踐計劃中名為《天佑東京》的劇本創作。該劇作由首席劇作家Hitsujiya Shirotama執導。
曾展出作品有：山間小路，倫敦（2015）；燒毀吧房屋-第十屆光州雙年展，光州（2014）；札幌國際藝術節，札幌（2014）；他是日本文化協會年輕藝術家耕耘計劃獎金獲得者；2017Delfina基金會冬季藝術家駐獲選者；海外藝術機構訪問計劃2018資格；Nishida被眾多國際公共委員會認可，國家包括俄羅斯、意大利、挪威、拉脫維亞、美國、英國、韓國、日本等。
2018年，Nishida獲選竹圍工作室與黃金町區域管理中心合作之「國際藝術進駐交換計畫」，自5月1日起至竹圍工作室駐村三個月。

駐村計劃－「十二張桌子」
「十二張桌子」計劃是在Nishida簡單規劃下的一系列活動；規則是在工作室駐村期間，Nishida 創造並管理一個空間在每週末與他人分享。每週採用不一樣的方式。將於三個月舉辦十二場活動。對於系列活動的展示平台是一張桌子，會在桌子的中間營造一個空間，會根據不同尺寸、形狀、場合、設定和環境進行變化。他將會在桌上分享的內容包括演講、投影、表演等等，都是他這週自己感興趣和樂意分享的議題。任何人想要分享與刷新對於世界的看法都歡迎參與這個活動。即使無人Nishida也會全程記錄。最後將分析真實發生的事情以及活動的真實記錄。這是關於空間、時間和關係的可能性的一項實驗。
駐村心得：
My project in BCS were a series of gathering events called "Dozen Tables Project". It could be different shape in different places each time. Once it was a cafe in BCS to exchange stories of local people, once it was a bar in the university class to exchange student’s ideas, once it was a performance to talk about water pollution issue involving local people and more. It is an experimental activity to investigate the possibility of communication in fundamental activities in people’s ordinary life.
Through the project I was just trying to be a good host but not an artist. And just observing what's going to happen. I believe that beyond the real joy and fun people will start to think and talk about some issues and solutions. Through the project in BCS I could support my basic idea of joy and fun of life, and refreshing of world perception which I am always thinking with my installation works. And also found several topics I have to think and talk more about, for example political issues and pollution issues. Also I found new expression method to talk about such a issues as an artist.
The colleague artists are very inspiring for me and the collaboration with some of them are pretty successful. Ordinary communication with other artists was always inspiring and productive. Also connection with other organizations and artists in Taipei were very helpful to continue my project. Their advice and participation were a big help. Also BCS gave me a lot of help of course. Important information, advices, and practical helps.
