Performance Arts, Installation Arts | Taiwan
A 2011 graduate from the Fine Arts Department at the National Changhua University of Education, New-York Chi mainly works with performance art and installation art. He has held artist residencies at Stock 20 in Taichung and at the Chiayi Railroad Arts Village. In 2008, he was invited to exhibit his work as a new emerging artist at SLY Art Space in Taipei. He has participated in numerous international exhibitions, such as “New Directions: Trans-Plex Weaving Platform” at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei National University of the Arts, Beitou, Taiwan (2011); “Art Sync” at the NARS Foundation, Brooklyn, New York, USA (2010); “Open Kitchen” at Da Gallery, New York, USA (2010); and “Two Outstanding Tilapia” at the Open Contemporary Art Center, Banqiao, Taipei, Taiwan (2011). Recent solo exhibitions include “A Solo Exhibition by New-York Chi” at the Taiwan New Arts Union in Tainan, Taiwan (2009).
