Noda Tomoyuki 野田智之
Visual Arts, Kinetic | Japan
I create kinetic art for 15 years. My grandfather's death made me to create kinetic art. I was moved by my grandfather's death, cremation, the smoke from a chimney, smell, and putting his bones into jar, and so on.
Wile crematory, his dog was barking to the smoke. Since then I reminded the scene again and again, and I decided to make art work about his death and the dog. For the art work, I needed to “moving”.
“Moving” has happiness, sadness and anxiety. “Moving” is very important in order to share my message with people.
Kinetic art could bring my message to people deeply by approaching amazing performances of human and moving animals. Sharing massages grow up in people’s mind like seeds, and they will be contemporary stories.
“Moving” is not only helping me to communicate with people, but also helping art works to link with people. In these days, I often have project with local people, and work shops to make “Moving” art works.
It moves by the sculpture work of Noda, and a motor.
