Mai Dian
Mai Dian is an independent researcher, self-employee and punk musician. He currently lives in Wuhan and is the founder of the living lab called “Wo Men Chia Youth Autonomous Lab”, since 2008.
Mai Dian is a believer of “anarchism” and an observer of political and social issues in China and around the world. He held many different cultural activities and experimentation in the living lab, such as artist talk, exhibition, performance, or social forum.
In 2015, Mai Dian was invited by curator Yves Chiu for one month residency at Bamboo Curtain Studio while working with Taiwan artist Kao Jun-Honn. This collaboration was exhibited at the “M.E.L.T.Ing Project – One Year Conversation: Thread, Ghost Story, Escape” at Taipei Contemporary Art Center in May, 2015.
