Chen Chia-Jen

Chen Chia-Jen is recommended by Bamboo Curtain Studio for a three months residency at Cemeti Art House.

Chen was born in Yunlin, Taiwan, graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts, M.F.A. He also taught at the College of Fine Art in NTUA, and attended the doctoral program of Art & Technologies de l’image, University Paris 8. He currently works and lives in Taipei, specializing in contemporary photography. Chen’s works have been exhibited in the Liverpool Biennial: City States (2012), and also Paris, Lyon, Rome, Budapest, etc. His work reveals the situations which contemporary urban dwellers may face by directly photographing or digital processing. This residency program is support by Asian Culture Council Taipei.
