Ruud Matthes
On this piece of land, bordering the Danshui River, Ruud shows an installation, which is a model for a future Taipei. He got the idea for this after attending the lectures of the Harrisons, the American eco-activist artists. One of their main issues is the rising sea level, his floating buildings, made of bamboo; plastic bottles, plastic boxes and wire are a playful response to this problem.
In the same period, Ruud Matthes made a number of ink paintings on digital prints.
