Suphitchaya or ‘Mind’, was born in 1993 and currently lives in Photharam, Ratchaburi province, Thailand. She loves drawing and sketching as well as art and culture development work. In 2011, she participated in Street Art Project, 1st ‘Tid Silp Bon Ratchaburi’ exhibition or ‘Art-o-holic in Ratchaburi’, Ratchaburi province, as co-initiater with 12 high school friends. It affected her decision to study in (B.A.) Art History Major.

In 2014, she participated in Contemporary art exhibition (Pop up Museum) project by Baan Noorg Collaborative Arts and Culture where she had a chance to survey, research and analyze history living and tradition of Nongpo district community. These art activities merged her academic and artistic ability with the research methodology to accomplish the collaborative work in an exhibition. She presently makes her further study in MFA program study, major in Art Theory at Silpakorn University with a strong intention to develop her ability to work in art and culture especially in the area of community based art.

Works in residency

Feedback:

1. Action practice for thinking to find the way to fix problems. It is a good way to bring many people who have different space, experience come to explain and sharing information together. Bamboo Curtain is a great platform to run or develop the project or organization.

2.During residency, I found the awareness issue and realized that it is important to individual and social development. I learnt some environment topic during the workshop and they let us have the awareness to the environment situation and let us have the thinking to find the process to fix the problem with sustainable idea.

3.From the project by Wu Shu-lun as I visited, I realized that it began from the awareness in art, cultural and environmental. And also at Toucheng there are projects that consider the local people go to work out at their own hometown. That is because it is difficult to find job in hometown then there are association or group that create the activities in community by art , it is alternative activities to impact local awareness between life and space.
