I am working on the work of ART which based on designing and I am interested in contemporary culture. Being a hybrid mix of an artist and a product designer has triggered me to notice the changing of contemporary culture up to now. It has also encouraged me to question on the values, the new aesthetic feeling, and the objects surrounding me. Moreover, this form of art has introduced me to see things from different point of view in order to manage or utilize any available materials appropriately.
For me, medical operations and plastic surgeries are done in order to design and adjust original state to wait for something new. Similarly, most of art creations are created to intentionally adjust and design perception in order to try new aesthetic feeling on found objects and general materials such as food, fruits, and everyday life products. Most of the process of my art creations overlaps between art, design, craft, and hand making, for example, knitting, weaving, embroidering and stuffing. All of these are absolutely to change original things into new things and to add new aesthetic feeling to objects. The purpose of appearance adjustment and perception design is to question on “visual memory” which a person has for objects or materials. However, it is not to create dominant symbol or to change the function of objects.
My all working process is like experiment which has not had the final conclusion because I do not want to force the audience to stick with their limited experience when they watch my works. Each work relates to visual memory and specific experience of each person. People from different culture have different experience and these will specify reaction and aesthetic feeling of each audience.
