Azusa Mimura at Bamboo Curtain Studio

Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1983, Azusa Mimura received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007 and a Master’s in Oil Painting in 2009 from Tama Art University. She taught high-school oil painting in Thailand from 2009 to 2011. Inspired by the beauty of nature, Azusa focuses the majority of her work on Asian scenes, predominantly from Thailand and India.

「光」是一種具有粒子與波動的元素，藉由光的反射人類得以感應電磁波組成的各種現象；「微光」在本次展覽的意涵是「微小的明亮、些許的明白、少量的開顯」，藉由光的指引，打開自身的隱晦之處。

竹圍工作室今年特別力邀TCE執行長Mary Sherman女士來台，配合視覺藝術聯盟舉辦的「第十一屆藝術家博覽會」，將於11月3日周六下午17:30-18:30在松山文創園區二號倉庫展覽現場，舉行「國際駐村計畫機會分享」座談。
