We have revisited the projects that BCS has undertaken in the past 20 years, and sorted them out into 4 categories to help the public understand our work: 1) alternative space, 2) art intervention, 3) art factory, and 4) artist residency. Each of these 4 categories may exist as an independent theme, but is at the same time inseparable from one another.
Alecia Neo: Unseen
In 2012, visual artist Alecia Neo embarked on her Taiwan residency at Bamboo Curtain Studio. Here she organised a one-month photography workshop with Eden Social Welfare Foundation, working with the visually-impaired to explore ways to express themselves through photography.

“2013 Creative Program” calls for three categories: cross discipline arts; ecology and environment;community engagement. This program will provide three artists with either a free studio or accommodation space (a choice of only one) for up to two months.

The works of Alecia Neo are full of humanity concerns and cultural tolerance. She investigates the normal people's experience of being isolated, departing from the society, and self-growth process of being loneliness, confusion, desire and personal pursuing.
The Winners of The 4th Emerging Artist Program
Bamboo Curtain Studio (BCS) select six national and international artists/groups in the program. It is expected that their projects will bring in new ideas and perspectives and their work will show the diversity of art in the world.
