Koh Wan Ching is a bilingual performer, director and theatre educator from Singapore who has worked with companies including Drama Box, Nine Years Theatre, The Theatre Practice as well as Toy Factory Theatre Ensemble. Being selected by Bamboo Curtain Studio “Creative Talents Program”, Shin Rock will stay at Bamboo Curtain Studio for one month since December. The one-month creative residency in December 2016 will culminate in a work in progress presentation. In addition, there will be 3 workshops conducted by the artists in residence.

Tio Meng Samantha (Mintio)

Mintio's (b. 1986, Singapore) art practice focuses on lens and time-based medias. She is based between Singapore and Indonesia. Trained in the foundations of photography and cinematography, Mintio uses these two mediums to condense space and time, constructing fantastical spaces and other-worlds in her artworks. Her first publicly exhibited series "Concrete Euphoria", uses the large format photography medium and an almost-performative methodology to create mandalas with light from urban landscapes.

The Finger Players

The Finger Players is one of Singapore’s leading theatre companies, known for its visually and emotionally charged productions, and its signature style of puppetry. The company has won numerous awards such as the President’s Design Award 2007, and multiple Life! Theatre Awards including Best Production of the Year in 2005, 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Post-Museum

Post-Museum was founded by Jennifer Teo and Woon Tien Wei in 2007. They were invited by curator Yves Chiu for one month residency at Bamboo Curtain Studio and to participated in the exhibition “M.E.L.Ting Project – One Year Conversation: Thread, Ghost Story, Escape.”

Alecia Neo

The works of Alecia Neo are full of humanity concerns and cultural tolerance.  She investigates the normal people's experience of being isolated, departing from the society, and self-growth process of being loneliness, confusion, desire and personal pursuing.
