Issay Rodriguez
Issay Rodriguez, artist (Philippines, 1991) received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of the Philippines, Diliman University, and graduated in 2013 with the Distinguished Paper Award and the Gawad Tanglaw Award. As a student, she is a scholar of the Jose “Pitoy” Moreno Foundation and, with the support of the French government, studied exchange scholars at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Paris. She has exhibited her work in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Taipei, Singapore, New Delhi, Dubai, Manila and Paris.
CC
CC (Issay Rodriguez & Anjo Bolarda) is a gesture rather than a name to identify a group or a collective. It began as a gesture to rethink the idea of collaboration amidst community driven engagement. CC is an extension of one’s own art practice, a platform to expand and explore possibilities by contributing , or complementing each one’s strengths and weaknesses to come up with projects one can not simply do alone.
Francis Sollano
Francis Sollano is a trashion and installations artist known for his contemporary takes on upcycling garbage into wearable art and converting decaying landscapes to lush urban spaces.
Irene Joy Bawer-Bimuyag
This year (2016), Irene is invited by Hakka TV (Taiwan), and will have her residency in Bamboo Curtain Studio in March and April. As her field and focusing, she would love to explore traditional textile culture, traditional music and dance, and traditional Hakka dwelling and old Taiwan community, etc, in Taiwan, as a collaboration or do cultural exchanges.
Anjo Bolarda
Aside from his artistic practice, Anjo is also the community founder of Behance Philippines, a platform to guide emerging artists/designers in their practice. He is also a co-director of 98B COLLABoratory, a Manila based artist-run initiative and space.
Marika Constantino
Marika Constantino (Manila) is a visual artist who has participated in significant exhibitions inthe Philippines and abroad. She was invited to "PROJECT GLOCAL TAIPEI" and resident in Bamboo Curtain Studio.
Fara Manuel
Fara Manuel is a printmaker, graphic artist and photography from 98B COLLABoratory (Bamboo Curtain Studio 2014 International Residency Exchange Project), as well as an avid cyclist and a vegetarian.
Mark Salvatus
His work specializes in day-to-day familiar objects, inadvertently coinciding with television media coverage of political events. Methods of creation range from installation, photography and street art to modes of interaction and participation.
