Po-yen WANG
Poyen Wang was born in 1987, Taichung, Taiwan. His practice utilizes digital media as a primary medium to examine how the archived memories in the digital realm affect our perception of reality, and how synthetic identities oscillate between the fabricated and the authentic, the performed and the documented, the private and the public. He received his master’s degree in New Media Art from Taipei National University of the Arts in 2015, and his second master’s degree at the School of Visual Arts with a Paula Rhodes Award in Computer Art in 2017.
郭佩奇 Pei-chi, Kuo
Pei-Chi, Kuo's creations open themselves to all kinds of materials, which are inspired from experiencing atmosphere of the environments, and the relationship of paradox and powers in people. In 2017, Pei-Chi, Kuo, trough the recommendation from Bamboo Studio, was invited to Khon Kaen University in participation of “Art No Wall” program.
Tio Meng Samantha (Mintio)
Mintio's (b. 1986, Singapore) art practice focuses on lens and time-based medias. She is based between Singapore and Indonesia. Trained in the foundations of photography and cinematography, Mintio uses these two mediums to condense space and time, constructing fantastical spaces and other-worlds in her artworks. Her first publicly exhibited series "Concrete Euphoria", uses the large format photography medium and an almost-performative methodology to create mandalas with light from urban landscapes.
Veron Sung(阿V)
Veron Sung is a Photo-based Cross-disciplinary Artist, founder of Veron Sung Studio who was educated in France and UK with scholarship and was named on the Faculty Dean’s Honours List. She then worked in London, Sydney, Auckland, Bali and now Hong Kong. Her works were exhibited and awarded numerously in Asia, Oceanic and Europe. She has photographed over 40 countries. She taught in universities and was employed by Kodak, Cosmopolitan and Bazaar international acclaimed magazines.
Wu, Chi-Yu
WU Chi-Yu graduated from Master of Fine Arts, Department of New Media Art, Taipei National University of the Arts in 2011. His artistic practice focuses on the record and the reproduction of oral history and local rumor.
Tadasu Takamine
Contemporary artist and stage director. Born in 1968 in Kagoshima, Japan. Now live and works in Japan. Takamine was invited to be the Visiting Associate Professor in Department of New Media Art in TNUA since August of 2015. Introduced by artist Yuan Goang-Ming, Takamine will stay in Bamboo Curtain Studio during 2015/12/01-2016/01/23.
Chiu Chih Hua
Recommended by Bamboo Curtain Studio, Chiu, Chih-hua has been elected to be the residency artist in “Artel 2016” hold by TIFA Working Studios, and will stay in Pune, India for 4 weeks from 14th March.
