Hidemi Tokutake: Shizuka | 5.10-5.17
Inspired by Traditional Chinese Sansui paintings, Shizuka靜 seeks to capture the underlying pulse of the natural mountainous landscape of Taiwan. Islands of earth sail through a sea of salt, juxtaposed by the surrounding mountains tranquilly clothed in mist. The rawness of the clay coupled with organic lines gestures a humble connection, with each ridge mimicking the unique characteristics of Taiwanese geography.
