From Taipei, Taiwan Taipei National University of the Arts, Department of Dance Graduate program, major in Choreography , Artistic Director at PITA Production. Choreography for street dance company, musical dance and contemporary dance art. Creation is usually made to deconstruct the current life, exploring human beings’ body culture through interdisciplinary collaborations. Music plays an important role in choreography. There is no direct narrative storyline in dance pieces but truly expressing our real feeling existing in our body experiences.

Hidemi Nishida

Hidemi Nishida was born in Otaru city in Hokkaido in 1986, currently lives and works in Tokyo. He studied Design in Sapporo and obtained a Masters of Fine Art at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design in Norway. His architectural background brings together functional making with an interest in intimate transformations of our environment. Nishida questions our milieu, deconstructing and adapting existing structures or materials or even whole landscapes in order to refresh our view of the world.

Outside the Box: BCS Artists Alex Nichols x Mushi

KIM Yeonjeong in Taiwan

Korean artist Kim Yeonjeong is selected as the resident artist for Iksan Creation Center (Korea) and BCS’s joint International Residency Exchange Program. During her time at BCS, KIM collaborated with Walking Grass Agriculture, an artist collective from Taiwan, and launched a project titled “555 for 5” at liáu liáu, an alternative space in Taipei. She continues her residency at Waley Art, Taipei after BCS, and has a solo show there titled “And Then There Were None.” KIM will perform at the “000-Lab/CAFé-PHILO” series at Treasure Hill, Taipei on 02. 26. 2017.

I release myself in repeated performance, by self-archiving, through the becoming of the archives, repeat and hyperplasia of symbol, trying to do translation to the necessary stimulation of life. To do something to shape a kind of withdrawal meaning, deconstruction the origin of the meaning in the process of diffusion, the meaning generate, escape, random, messy, weaving conversion and disappear, in the vicinity of infinite extreme state to escape from the control of the meaning system.

Chinnasamy Krishnaswamy

As a yoga practitioner and artist, Krishnaswamy’s works began as an extension of his yoga practice which made him aware of the vastness of the body and its limits. He tried to explore these through a visual medium, performing yoga on canvas, leaving behind imprints of his physical and mental state of mind. Following this body of work called the Kundali Rising he began to explore his own roots, what makes him the person he is and leads to certain physical and mental characteristics.
