Khairunnisa
She is a researcher, who graduated from Gadjah Mada University, majored in Cultural Anthropology. She has been researching in food as her main topic since her university year. Her main interest is on food and its relation with the cultural also social issues. At several time, she has been involved and collaborate with food art project in Yogyakarta. Khairunnisa is invited to be Bamboo Curtain Studio International Residency Exchange Program artist collaborating with Bumu Pemuda Rahayu in Indonesia. She will stay at Bamboo Curtain Studio for two month since 1st of August.
Gatari Surya Kusuma
She just graduated from Indonesian Institute of Art, majored in Photography. She is also part of working team in KUNCI Cultural Studies Center and MES 56. She is interested on how visual can works in social research and food as a part of the social issues. She believes that food can be not only as a food. Food can be a door to open the bigger issues. Gatari Surya Kusumar is invited to be Bamboo Curtain Studio International Residency Exchange Program artist collaborating with Bumu Pemuda Rahayu in Indonesia.
康雅筑 Kang, Ya-chu
Ya-chu Kang is a Taipei based artist whose work explores issues of identity, the relationship between human and natural and the social environment message. Having trained in various sculpture and textile based disciplines, the works range from large site-specific installations to small interdisciplinary sculptures and 2D works. Described as “simulation objects” the work eliminates the boundary between usable items and sculpture — the functional and the aesthetic.
Kim, Woo-jin
Woo-jin intends to assimilate and bridge the present fabric of society to that of the past. She tries to communicate with them through her work and its process. Images or thoughts she gained through her work reflect the present aspects of society she perceive and also may be questions concerning the deficit and surplus in society- questions the artist poses as a member of society.
魏澤 Ze WEI
ZE WEI bases her art projects on her obsession with the reciprocal effect between the contemporary world and its historical context. She uses images as a tool to develop her perception of historical and social events, trying to answer questions aroused by the global status quo. Her projects revolve around the concept of “national territories / boundaries", such as globalization, human migration, diaspora and differentiation etc.
Chang, Ya-Ping
2013, she graduated from the Master of Fine Arts Department of Taipei National University of Arts, currently studying Applied Arts in National Chiao Tung University. Her main creation is mixed media devices and space installation. The majority of her creative works are mixed media and installations that focus on the inherit operation and conflicts within the social structures and the inner dialogs between a person and the living environment. to respond to stories under the frame of history context.
Wu, Chi-Yu
WU Chi-Yu graduated from Master of Fine Arts, Department of New Media Art, Taipei National University of the Arts in 2011. His artistic practice focuses on the record and the reproduction of oral history and local rumor.
Karen Beckwith
Karen D. Beckwith has been creating prints since the mid nineteen eighties and equates the process of printmaking to the investigation of places she has lived or visited, discovering layers of information from her observations. She examines the meaning of home life, the cultural dynamic of family, neighborhood, community and the secrets held within these environments.
