Fara Manuel
Fara Manuel is a printmaker, graphic artist and photography from 98B COLLABoratory (Bamboo Curtain Studio 2014 International Residency Exchange Project), as well as an avid cyclist and a vegetarian.
REICHRICHTER
REICHRICHTER is a German artist duo consisting of Rebekka Reich and Marcus Vila Richter, they was selected as the Emerging Artist of Bamboo Curtain Studio in 2014, now they work for 6 month in Taiwan at different artist residencies.
Krystallia Sakellariou
Krystallia Sakellariou (b.1977) is a Swedish visual artist and filmmaker, She was rewarded Konst i Hallands artist-in-residence grant 2014 from Sweden and will be working at Bamboo Curtain Studio for two months.
Fiona Cheng
Fiona Cheng is an art critic/writer based in Taichung and Chittagong. Influenced by the surrounding environments and the context of the places, she develops her critical thinking into writing and living, contributes her text to art magazines or online media. As art critic/artist, she participated in the residency of Ruangrupa ArtLab (Indonesia), Jog Art Space (Bangladesh), and Expression Expedition 2018 (Nepal). She is the founding editor of an art writing website "aofa.tw".
Godwin Koay
Born in Singapore, in 1987, Godwin received his Bachelor of Arts Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore in 2011. His works are often directed towards exploring the possibilities of an artistic practice forged at an interstice with social and political praxis- though at the same time confronting tropes established in prevailing practices involving community, activism, or institutional critique.
Fong Wan Chi, Vangi
Vangi is also a member of Wooferten Continuously Working Group & So Boring cooperative store based in Yau Ma Tei.
Lulu Shur-tzy Hou
Lulu Shur-tzy Hou's works explore issues related to gender identification, self-identification, and third-world female laborer; thus her works voice and reflect social-economic issues of modern Taiwan. Hou's recent work focuses on Asian foreign brides in Taiwan in which she explores the lives of these female immigrants, their self-consciousness and struggle with identity.
Michael Vincent Malano
Michael Vincent Manalo is a mixed-media artist and musician. His work is mostly inspired by the imagined memories of nostalgic and dream-like environments; his works documents their decline into post-apocalyptic and nightmarish creations. Malano was selected as the Emerging Artist of Bamboo Curtain Studio in 2014.
