洪芷寧 HONG Tze-Ning
Based in Taipei, Tze-ning experienced and learned from arts programs, independent publications, and local engagements in various ways and places. While the main focus is on the encounter between individuals from differ background and their visual experiences, via arts and cultural practices.
Alex Nichols
ALEX NICHOLS is a multi-disciplinary artist and writer involved in Critical Contact Art. Art that explores identity, connection and communication through the bodies experience. The question at the core of Alex's work is how the body can become the place of active resistance.
Mushi
"It was an empowering residency that helped us really engage with community on a grander scale." said by Mushi after residency in BCS. MUSHI is an artist-anthropologist concerned with the ‘we’. Working with other artists he believes what is most critical in any creation of an idea or work is the capacity to work together and jointly. Collaboration is his medium, developing a space that allows him to move beyond the differences in our inherited conditions.
劉星佑 Sing-You Liou
Liou tries to bring new perception to ancient painting works, and is now moving his way toward curation and art critics. Being selected by Bamboo curtain studio “Creative Talents Program”, Han Sheng will stay at bamboo curtain studio for two months since November.
陳漢聲 Han Sheng Chen
Han Sheng Chen is familiar with experimental animation, mixed media and kinetic installation. From his identity and the background of agriculture, he reached out to focus on the tension between human and nature. Elements of plant, memory, farmland, factories…etc. are often seen in his works.Recently put the focus on gender equality, and co-founded the exhibition project Coexist, trying to open more conversation by the means of creation, art, and exhibition space.
Elise Luong
Khairunnisa
She is a researcher, who graduated from Gadjah Mada University, majored in Cultural Anthropology. She has been researching in food as her main topic since her university year. Her main interest is on food and its relation with the cultural also social issues. At several time, she has been involved and collaborate with food art project in Yogyakarta. Khairunnisa is invited to be Bamboo Curtain Studio International Residency Exchange Program artist collaborating with Bumu Pemuda Rahayu in Indonesia. She will stay at Bamboo Curtain Studio for two month since 1st of August.
Gatari Surya Kusuma
She just graduated from Indonesian Institute of Art, majored in Photography. She is also part of working team in KUNCI Cultural Studies Center and MES 56. She is interested on how visual can works in social research and food as a part of the social issues. She believes that food can be not only as a food. Food can be a door to open the bigger issues. Gatari Surya Kusumar is invited to be Bamboo Curtain Studio International Residency Exchange Program artist collaborating with Bumu Pemuda Rahayu in Indonesia.
